How to use it

  1. Choose a slip when you notice something you want to remember.
  2. Draw or write a small step, effort, rest, repair, request for help, learning moment, connection, or completion.
  3. Add slips when you want; there is no target or deadline.
  4. Review privately, share selected slips, or leave the jar closed.

Reflection prompts

  • Which kinds of evidence are easiest or hardest to notice?
  • What support helped make a step possible?
  • Would you like the jar to hold anything different?

Facilitator guidance

Keep the jar private and noncompetitive. Do not use it as a compliance chart, reward system, or proof that difficulty has ended.

Adaptations & accessibility

  • Use photos, objects, stickers, or voice notes instead of slips.
  • Keep separate private and shareable containers.
  • Use a folder, box, digital album, or wall display only with consent.
